Our USDF USEF Recognized Shows are a great place to earn scores towards your USDF Year End Awards and qualify for Regionals. Our shows are professionally run, well organized and did we mention the great prizes?
The parklike atmosphere is a great place for that young horse's first outing. The supportive and fun atmosphere is what we think a horse show should be. Nice touches include modern restrooms, nice shower building, on-site camping, spacious and welcoming office building, and a brand new sound system for freestyles. Notably, do you know that we give every rider a carrot and water after each test? How nice is that!

NWDA puts on exceptional shows, and I look forward to attending them each year! The atmosphere is very welcoming with an inclusive community feel, competitor gatherings, and a supportive team behind the scenes to ensure all competitors' needs are met. NWDA also offers wonderful prizes at both their schooling and recognized shows - From embroidered chairs, to saddle pads, to fans and holders, etc. for a variety of divisions and placings. Well-organized and with peaceful setting in the North Woods, these shows are perfect for the most-seasoned competitor to enjoy and thrive, a young horse to gain their confidence is a quiet setting, or someone new to showing to get their feet wet and share in the camaraderie of the community. I can't recommend these shows enough. -Jessica Foschi
Whenever fellow equestrians ask where my favorite place to compete is, I say, “with NWDA”. There are many reasons that I have to back that statement. To start, NWDA has an extremely welcoming community and environment, everyone is very uplifting and supportive whether you have a great ride or… a rather educational ride. As a Junior/Young Rider the support and comradery has been something that I have enjoyed since I
was very young. NWDA also has exceptional awards which include, quality bridle bags, saddle pads and many more at both shows and the lovely annual banquet. NWDA hosts great judges that are wonderfully suited for riders of beginning level to advanced. Overall, North Woods Dressage
Association genuinely cares about you and your horses and is a organization that I love being a part of. - Tayla Damyanovich
I love showing at NWDA because of the welcoming atmosphere, a good learning/showing environment for me and my students. -Syra Johnson
The Northwoods dressage shows are always so well run and a fun experience. As a judge, they were organized and made my job easy. As a competitor, you cannot find better shows where everyone is happy for each other.

So you say you can’t go to a dressage show alone? Husband just wants to fish? So no test reader Come to a NWDA show, arrive knowing no one, leave knowing almost everyone. Why choose NWDA One of the funnest shows with friendly competitors, nice competitor party with a feeling of belonging and the prizes…you just have to come and win some for yourself. Low key, but well managed footing, great back drop for pics and videos, great judges and terrific show management team. Want to be stalled with friends no problem. Want to camp under the trees knock yourself out. Did I mention shade? You can hand graze your pony in the shade!

Having the unfortunate luck of loosing young horses I have spent a lot of time going to the NWDA Schooling shows. Although it is fun to win, the last few shows have been about just getting in the ring. I appreciate the hunter jumper judges allowing me to pay for rounds with Eventing gear on. No ribbons but nice courses. The dressage judges at schooling shows are always kind in comments and willing to talk. If you’re ever “lucky” enough to be the last rider the judges will often come out for some pointers. They do want competitors to understand ways to improve. I think the relaxed schedule and the attitude of learning in the schooling shows makes for a great first time or young horse experience.
My team and I absolutely love showing at the NWDA shows! It is such a positive experience with a beautiful backdrop of pine trees. Quiet and low key, these shows are a perfect place to bring green or nervous horses or riders. It is well run, and the staff are always very helpful.
One of my favorite memories is when one of my students earned her bronze medal at one of the shows. She worked her butt off for years to achieve her medal and I can’t think of a better place for her to earn it!
Oh yeah, did I mention they always have amazing prizes and treat their competitors like royalty?!
Thanks NWDA for always being such a great organization and hosting amazing shows!’The NWDA shows Or a staple on my competition schedule every year. They are well organized and the show management is friendly and helpful. They work very hard to make sure the facilities are Inviting for horses and riders of all experience levels. Not to mention, the prizes are fantastic!
