NWDA has some exciting news! We have added Working Equitation (WE) to our June and August Schooling Shows. Working Equitation is basically Dressage with obstacles.

The June Fun in the Sun Schooling Show will be our first trial.
Since we are new at this, it will be a modified event:
- We are offering the WE Dressage Tests (classes 180A/280A) and the Ease of Handling (EOH) course (classes 180B/280B), but no speed trial at this show. You can ride whichever WE Dressage test you want, but everyone will be riding the Level 1 Introductory EOH course.
- If you are uncertain about this event but want to try the EOH course, you can enter your regular dressage test and then enter the EOH class.
- If you want to be eligible for the daily Working Equitation High Point Award, you must ride one of the WE Dressage Tests and the EOH course.
- WE has their own dedicated tests (1-7) and they must be ridden in a SHORT COURT. These tests can be found at USAWE.org.
- Below is the EOH Course Map for the June Schooling Show. This is being sent out ahead of time so people can practice at home.
- For more information on WE at the June Schooling Show, contact Dee Closson at either 406-599-7752 or [email protected]. Email is best as cell phone is finnicky. Leave a message and call will be returned.
